How It Is Made

Slow enough to keep
the aroma.

The ghani turns at low speed so the seed is crushed rather than cooked. The oil that comes off is cloudy, fragrant and alive — we let it settle, filter it through cloth, and leave it exactly there.

Nutrition & specification

Typical values per 100 ml. Indicative only — always refer to the pack.

Storage & use

Natural sediment may settle at the bottom. This is normal in unrefined oil and is not a defect.

Description

Zenova Groundnut Oil is pressed from carefully selected peanuts and carries a light, naturally nutty flavour that suits everyday Indian cooking. It is made with the same standards that have guided us since 1995: traceable sourcing, traditional extraction that preserves aroma and nutrients, and batch testing for purity and safety in accredited laboratories. Bottled in amber glass to protect it from light, oxygen and heat, so every drop stays fresh. With a high smoke point, it is well suited to deep frying, sauteing and daily cooking, bringing clean flavour without overpowering your ingredients.

Product FAQ

The practical stuff.

A 1 litre bottle lasts a family of four roughly five to six weeks of daily cooking. Start there. Move to the 5 litre tin once you know you like it — it works out about 11% cheaper per litre.

Colour shifts a little between harvests and even between villages. Refined oils look identical every time because they are stripped to look that way. Ours is not.

Mustard oil has been used for malish across India for generations. We sell it as an edible oil, so please speak to your paediatrician before using it on an infant.

The batch code is printed beside the pressing date on the neck label. Enter it on our certifications page to open the organic certificate and residue report for that batch.
